I have been trying so hard to share more of my work. It is SUCH an internal struggle for me - I find myself consistently comparing my work to that of other local photographers. It's not fair to my artistry to do it to myself, but at the same time I feel like it's the norm for us "right brained" folks. I'm really working on putting myself out there more - and thought it would be fun to share my 5 favorite images since reopening my business in February.
Always -- always -- bring your favorite animal. Even if it is a chicken.
This is one image in my heart - we're going to call it a two-fer. Lindsey (pictured here) is now a momma of two strong-willed and independent boys. I'm certain she has many years of chasing and dragging ahead of her.
I don't offer a lot of black and white's in my galleries - it's just not my thing. This image - immediately - conveyed black and white for me. I couldn't imagine it any other way. Still, looking at it, it chokes me up.
This image, isn't perfect, and I know that. It ended up being an overcast day, the location wasn't "showing up" the way I wanted it to. We were still in less exciting "Covid-Time" and there was a group on the field I wanted to utilize, so we settled here. I still love this gallery, because of all it means to this couple. They'll be welcoming their first child soon - a girl - and from the look of those smiles, I have a feeling she is going to be very well-loved.
This momma and this boy have been through SO MUCH together. They might have been the sweetest family I've ever photographed.
Honestly, I have thousands of "favorite images". I could never really share them all - and all that they mean to me. A blanket "thank you" to all of my clients for letting me be a part of your lives, in this small way.
